Texture-
For this assignment we focused on creating texture through collage. "Urban Detritus" was the phase we were supposed to think about when creating our piece. I chose to create a city scape with old cans, boxes and different pieces of trash I found. We were supposed to create beauty from something that is not normally thought of as being pretty. I like making collages so I had fun creating my piece. The different materials I used created actual texture, while the horizontal paint strokes on the buildings were simulated texture. Overall I think I was successful in creating texture with my collage.
